PMO Manager

OVERALL PURPOSE

The Project Control and Delivery Managermanages the Project Control & Delivery function in NWC. The role manages the demand & request management, project control and project delivery functions. The role is responsible for managing the IT demand including new projects, enhancements and initiatives. The role also manages all aspects of anIT project including project planning, execution, alignment with business goals, adherence to scope, functionality, resource allocation, reporting, communication and cost.The role adheres to the established project management methodology and standards while carrying out their responsibilities and ensures that the projects are aligned with IT standards and strategies.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Managerial Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day management and supervision to direct reports and support them in achieving their operational objectives.
Supports in monitoring KPIs relevant to the area to control the performance against objectives and targets.
Ensures the policies and procedures are created, implemented and aligned to the corporate policies
Prioritizes and supports in allocating budgets and resources
Actively manage talent management programs in own department to maximize employee performance and development.
Functional Responsibilities:
Responsible to define, communicate and monitor the Project Control & Delivery department’s budget, ensuring efficient cost allocation and financial alignment.
Responsiblefor working closely with business stakeholders to understand project demands, and align the project portfolio with NWC’s strategic goals.
Develop and implement project management processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent project control.
Establish project management frameworks, including performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms, to monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure risk management practices are embedded in project planning and execution processes.
Collaborate with delivery teams, providing guidance and support, and eliminating roadblocks to ensure successful project execution.
Conduct regular project reviews and audits to assess project health, identify risks, and proactively address issues to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Monitor and review project milestones to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Prioritize and approve project changes and estimate the impact of new or modified services in terms of cost, resource allocation, and impact on project timeline.
Responsible for project cost estimation, budget utilization, and financial tracking, to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
Support the project control and delivery director by preparing regular reports on project performance, resource utilization, and delivery metrics.
Manage escalations and complex project issues, driving solutions and mitigations in collaboration with stakeholders and highlight the issues to project control and delivery director, when required.
Monitor the performance of the department, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to enhance the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
Carry out any other tasks requested by the direct manager or the superior that are within the limits of the job, provided that this task does not make a fundamental difference in the basic tasks of the job.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s (preferred) or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience, with 5+ years in project management and delivery management.
Strong understanding of requirements management methodology and practices.
